So yesterday, I confidently predicted (based on the available data) that each tea I take out of my Bird & Blend advent calendar was going to be nicer than all the ones that preceded it.
Well, Bird & Blend have their work cut out for them coming up with anything better than this here Hazelnut Rocher. This, my friends is pure perfection in a tea mug. I can’t even describe how much I love this tea. I’ll try obviously but I won’t do it justice.
It’s got chocolate! It’s got caramelised hazelnuts! It’s got actual proper black tea from a Camelia sinensis plant! It’s also got sprinkles (which may be a bit superfluous given that it comes in a teabag and you can’t actually see the sprinkles). And what’s more, it tastes like Ferrero Rocher chocolates, loved by ambassadors and their reception guests the world over.
I love Ferrero Rocher. I particularly love the way that they’re marketed as something really posh and elegant, when in reality they’re a ball full of Nutella which can only be eaten by inelegantly stuffing the whole thing in one’s mouth so that one’s cheeks bulge like a hamster.
This is what I want. This is what makes me happy. More like this please bird and blend tea elves!
