This T2 Black Rose is somewhat misleadingly named. I mean, sure it’s got a whole floral rose vibe going on, but really, it’s the tropical fruits which assault your senses when you drink it.
This is not a complaint. The fruity flavours are an absolute delight. It reminds me quite a lot of the lychee tea that I tried last year.
Not that there are any lychees in this, but there is papaya and mango. There are also currants – which are always a cheerful addition to a tea blend – and cornflower petals to make the whole thing look pretty.
I really enjoyed this. There are a whole host of interesting flavours playing nicely together and a nice robust black tea base which means this brew is sturdy enough to add milk to.
My daughter bought me this tea for Christmas. I did pretty well for tea this year. Turns out my nearest and dearest know what I really like. My two favourite things in life are cats and tea. I have sufficient cats. But, you know, you can never have too much tea.
