Bird & Blend Advent Calendar Day 16 – Gingerbread Chai

I’m on familiar territory with today’s Gingerbread Chai. This was one of the very first Bird & Blend teas I ever tried back in the olden days before I assumed the mantle of Tea Fancier.

It is a rooibos-based blend doing what rooibos does best: Keeping company with spices and pretending to be a biscuit.

It’s not mucking about with the spiciness either. You get a full blast of spicy ginger with every mouthful which lingers on the tongue afterwards. It’s an absolute delight.

This review may be shorter than my usual efforts, but believe me it comes from a place of warm, cosy contentment.
