T2 Christmas Breakfast tea doesn’t just contain ginger. It also contains ‘ginger’, ‘gingerbread’ and ‘chocolate gingerbread’ natural and artificial flavourings. That’s quite a lot of ginger.
Sure, it also has black tea, cinnamon, nutmeg and vanilla flavouring but one’s initial reaction – and indeed all subsequent reactions – to this tea is “Oh! That’s gingery!”
T2 are, I think, the only Purveyor of Teas to the Tea Fancier who use artificial flavourings in their tea and, well, you can kind of tell.

Most flavoured tea blends use natural flavourings to boost the taste, but T2’s teas really do have a kind of Jelly Belly flavour profile going on. If there’s a gingerbread flavoured Jelly Bean out there (and you know there probably is), it almost certainly tastes like T2 Christmas Breakfast.
This is quite a cheerful little number but it doesn’t quite do it for me. And it wasn’t because it was too gingery. Honestly, I love a high-octane ginger buzz, but the gingerbread and vanilla flavours were a bit too cloying here. It was a bit like drinking a Yankee Candle.
